On today’s blog post I share finished pics of my Blood Angels Captain from issue 5 of the Imperium Magazine. This model is only available with the magazine and is an exclusive.

I had a fail when undercutting this model. I was using Wraithbone Spray outside and as I was spraying a drop of rain hit the model. it wasn’t raining when I started. How unlucky is that! I had to strip the model and start again.
I’m really enjoying painting the rogue trader inspired orangey red armour. Here’s my recipe.
- Undercoat Wraithbone Spray
- Basecoat Wild Rider Red
- Shade with Blood Angels Red + Lahmian Medium
- Panel line armour with Word Bearer’s Red
- Area highlight with water thinned Trollslayer Orange
- Edge Highlight Bestigor Flesh.

just come across this and your blog and there’s some lovely stuff on here
Very nice, what colours did you use for the base garfy??
The base rim is Steel Legion Drab. The sand is painted with Deathclaw Brown, dry brushed with Bestigor Flesh and then Screaming Skull. The rocks are painted with Zandri Dust and dry brushed with Morghast Bone and finally dry brushed with Screaming Skull.
