Review: The perfect match(es) for 90s Goblin Green
There is something special about the 90s version of Goblin Green. It’s the colour of our childhoods, when garishly painted armies clashed on green flocked tabletops. But replicating the exact shade of classic Goblin Green seems surprisingly difficult. In this video, I test and rank similar green paints from over 14 old and new paint brands. Let’s determine once and for all which modern paint is the perfect match for the classic Goblin Green of the 90s.
Review: AK Playmarkers
Painting miniatures as easily as holding a pen? Well, AK Interactive has developed a range of markers specifically designed for painting miniatures. Might their new Playmarkers be the ultimate beginners product? I’ve tested the entire range of 34 colours and have some thoughts. Painting miniatures as easily as holding a pen? I’ll show you how.
Review: The Army Painter Infinity JSA & Panoceania paint sets
The Army Painter are on a roll with their popular Warpaints Fanatic range, and alongside Mantic and Halo Flashpoint, they’ve snapped up another licensing partner: Corvus Belli. Their flagship game Infinity is now being treated to two paint sets, each containing 10 colours as well as an exclusive miniature for the JSA and Panoceania factions. In this review, we’ll unbox both sets and take a very close look at all the components.
Review: Scale 75 Scalecolor, Fantasy & Games, Metal’n’Alchemy
Why does no one talk about Scale 75 anymore? In the 2010s, Scalecolor enjoyed great popularity, especially among pro-level painters. However, all I hear from Scale lately is one Kickstarter after another to stay afloat. I wonder if Scale 75 can keep up with all the newer paint ranges and the advancements they brought in covering power and formulation? To answer this question, I’m testing the entire Scalecolor, Fantasy & Games, and Metal’n’Alchemy ranges from the perspective of today in this video.
ToP Tip: The best orange and peach paints
Inspired by the new Aeldari models I searched through my paint archive for bright orange and peach tones. Perfect for Fire Dragons, the Trans-hyperion Alliance of the Votann, and many more.
Review: Ionic Smart Colors
In recent years, we’ve seen a surge of new and impressive paint ranges, each claiming to outdo its competitors. This leaves me wondering: can acrylic paints for modelling improve further, or have we hit the ceiling? Big Child Creative also pondered this question, and their answer is their new Ionic Smart Paint, which you may have already seen in videos by Ninjon and Vince Venturella with their development name “Atom Smart Paints”. For this review, I tested the entire range with all 180 colours to explore whether Ionic represents the next evolutionary leap in miniature painting and the role that the Citadel Colour range of the 2000s plays in all of this.

Gaahleri is a very prolific Chinese airbrush manufacturer that focuses on quality and proprietary designs, rather than cheap knock-offs. And all of this at very competitive prices. Find out what’s behind it in this review, for which I tested two of their most popular airbrushes as well as the GT-918 compressor.
Review: Redgrass Creative R9 Solo desk lamp
The Kickstarter campaign for the new R9 Solo desk lamp by Redgrass Creative is drawing to a close soon, but before it does, I would like to share my impressions of the lamp. I have been using the R9 Solo for several months now, and here is my review.

John Blanche is a visionary artist who has shaped the look and feel of the Warhammer IP like no other. But now that he’s retired, he’s joined team Army Painter to make his own paint sets?! In this review, I show you all 20 colours from both John Blanche Masterclass Sets. I’ll explore how the new colours fit into the existing Warpaints Fanatic range, and whether these sets are worth the hype or just a cash-in on a prestigious name.
