Showcase: Sons of Horus Land Raider Proteus
It’s stubby, it’s old-school, and I love it: The plastic Land Raider Proteus model released last year for The Horus Heresy. It took me a while, but I finally added one to my Sons of Horus collection. Checkout all pictures in this showcase post.
Showcase: Sons of Horus Praetor with double-handed Axe
I painted a Contemptor Dreadnought, a Kratos, and some infantry, so now it was time to add a worthy leader to my Sons of Horus strikeforce. The Praetor with double-handed axe is my favourite model from the new Horus Heresy range, and I wanted to do the model justice.
Showcase: Sons of Horus Tactical Support Squad with Rotor Cannons
Cannons go brrr in today’s Horus Heresy flavoured post. Check out the first infantry unit for my Sons of Horus warband, a Tactical Support Squad armed with rotor cannons.
Showcase: Sons of Horus Contemptor Dreadnought with CCWs
Hooray, I painted something! The Contemptor Dreadnought is one of my favourite kits from the Horus Heresy plastic range, so I couldn’t help to paint one for my small Sons of Horus collection. Find out more after the jump.
Review: Horus Heresy Land Raider Proteus
Put on your nostalgia glasses, the plastic Land Raider Proteus kit finally arrives for us to review. Based on the proportions and design of the original plastic Land Raider from 1988, the new plastic kit offers a faithful recreation of the Forge World resin model. On top of that, you can also choose between building a Land Raider Proteus Carrier or Explorator. Find out more in this review.
Showcase: Emperor’s Children MkVI Legionary
After reading the initial four Horus Heresy novels I grew quite fond of the Emperor’s Children. I really like their characterisation, their underlying perfectionism, and their complex characters like Saul Tarvitz and Eidolon. Inspired by the novels, I decided that I want to paint a few Emperor’s Children to compliment my Sons of Horus. Here is the first test model.
Video tutorial: Speedpainting grimdark Sons of Horus
Today I have a video version of my popular Sons of Horus speedpainting tutorial. This tutorial uses techniques like zenithal highlights, sponge weathering and drybrushing, allowing you to finish a Space Marine Legionary in 45 minutes or less. Find out more in this post.
Showcase: Sons of Horus Kratos Heavy Assault Tank
One of the most popular models of the new edition of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy was without a doubt the Kratos Heavy Assault Tank. This massive behemoth of a tank closes the gap between the Sicaran Battle Tank and the Fellblade, and the kit is a real treat for any treadhead. I couldn’t imagine a better model to kick off my Sons of Horus collection, so enjoy a few pictures of my very own Kratos in this post.
Review: Horus Heresy Leviathan Dreadnought with ranged weapons
After the plastic close combat Leviathan has taken the hearts of hobbyists by storm, now comes the Leviathan Siege Dreadnought with ranged weapons. In our review, we take a look at the new ranged combat sprue and show you what options you can look forward to (and what you will, unfortunately, have to do without).
