Review: PK-PRO WhiteLine MC1 Drybrushes
Drybrushes with round, conical brush heads have become a hobby staple since Artis Opus popularised this type of brush a couple of years ago. Now the German online shop PK-Pro has launched their own version with their WhiteLine MC1 drybrushes. In this review, we take a closer look at their new brushes.
Review: Pro Acryl & Pro Acryl Signature Series
Love it or hate it, but influencer hobby products have become a thing. We’ve witnessed ex-GW presenter Duncan Rhodes launching his own paint range, Angel Giraldez selling airbrushes, and now Monument Hobbies are stepping in with their ProAcryl Signature Series. They’ve already dropped two paint sets co-developed with YouTube legends Ninjon and Vince Venturella, and two more sets by pro painters Ben Komets and Matt Cexwish are out when you read this. In this review, I’ll be taking you through the entire ProAcryl range, with a special focus on the Signature Series. Is this paint range truly living up to the hype or are you just getting influenced?
Stahly’s best miniature paints for Warhammer 2024
Over the years, I bought (and got sent) over a thousand paints from (almost) all miniature paint manufacturers out there. So the ultimate question is: Which acrylic paint range is the best for painting Warhammer miniatures in 2023? To answer this question, I compiled a list sorted by categories: best acrylics, best metallic paints, best washes, and best airbrush paints.
Review: Two Thin Coats Wave 2 by Duncan Rhodes
After successfully launching his Two Thin Coats paint range with Trans-atlantis Games in 2022, thanks to Kickstarter now comes wave 2, which includes six brand new Glaze paints to help you boost the vibrancy of your paint jobs. In this video I’ll be reviewing all 60 colours from the second wave and sharing some of my long-term experiences and nitpicks with Two Thin Coats wave 1.
Retro review: The 1998 – 2012 Citadel Colour range
Do you remember the previous Citadel paint range? While many fondly recall the iconic white flip-top Citadel Colour paints of the late 80s and early 90s, it seems that people are less enthusiastic about the paint range of the 2000s. However, this range introduced revolutionary concepts like ready-made washes and extra high-opacity “Foundation” paints. In this video I delve into Games Workshop’s former Citadel Colour range and explore if they still have their place in today’s hobby or are better left forgotten.
Review: TTCombat Paints & Washes
It doesn’t get boring on the miniature paint market! Among the recent arrivals of new paint ranges, TTCombat (renowned for their MDF terrain and games like Dropzone Commander and Carnevale) has joined the fray by introducing a brand-new line of paints through a Kickstarter campaign. With an extensive collection of 72 colours and washes, these paints are promoted as being exceptionally high-quality and opaque, particularly their metallic range. In this honest review, I’ll determine if these claims hold true.
Short review: Liquid Pigments from Green Stuff World
Creating weathering effects with the help of pigments but without all the mess and dust that they usually leave on the desk? Green Stuff World promises this and more with their Liquid Pigments range, which I review in today’s review. Spoiler: If you like Nihilakh Oxide from the Citadel Colour range, then scroll down and find out more.
Review: Warcolours Nostalgia 94 paints
Oldhammer fans rejoice, you can now paint like it’s 1994 again! Warcolours’ Nostalgia 94 range is designed to recreate the colours and feeling of the Citadel paint range of the late 90s. Since then, miniature paints have made quite some progress, so I’m curious whether nostalgia paints can keep up with modern paint ranges or not.

For a few years now, one coat paints like Citadel Contrast are all the rage now. In this video I rank and review all one coat paints currently on the market, and help you find an answer to the question of which Contrast-style paint is the best paint for your painting style.
Review: The Army Painter Speedpaint 2.0 – finally fixed?
Speedpaints are loved by some for their unique blending properties. Others hate that the paints reactivate and bleed through subsequent layers of paint. The Army Painter were faced with the difficult task of satisfying both camps and sought the help of three of YouTube’s most popular hobby channels. Is the new 2.0 formula a solid improvement or the worst of both worlds? And are the metallic Speedpaints as underwhelming as some of the promo shots make them to be? I’ll find out in this hands-on Speedpaint 2.0 review.
