Check out this video and written review of January’s White Dwarf Magazine issue 460.
Showcase: Death Guard Blightlord Terminators
Seeing as the Death Guard have just received a new Codex, these two Blightlord Terminators have decided to crawl out of their puss-filled swamp and make an appearance. Languishing in the stagnant abyss that is my unfinished model pile for a whole year, I thought I’d better dust them off and get them done.
ToP Tip: 3 Water Pot Tips
3 ToP Tips that help you with your water pot.
Showcase: Dark Angels Invictor Tactical Warsuit
The Invictor Tactical Warsuit could be easily mistaken for a Dreadnought because it shares the same chassis as the Redemptor Dreadnought but it’s been stripped of the heavier armour and sealed Sarcophagus and instead has a roll cage and a harness. The Invictor is a Warsuit with it’s pilot being able to hop in and out at leisure.
Showcase: Dark Angels Assault Intercessors
A couple of weeks ago I shared the first 5 Assault Intercessors, I’ve now finished the remaining members of the squad so this post is an update. Whilst we’re talking about updates, I’ve changed how I paint my Dark Angel green armour. Read on to find out.
ToP Tip: Clean your Airbrush fast
ToP Tips, or Tale of Painters’ Tips is our regular Friday feature where we share quick tips or recommendations that don’t really fit into our tutorials or reviews. Today I want to share a simple trick for cleaning your airbrush faster.
Showcase: Dark Angels Assault Intercessors
Charging, servo-assisted towering suits of ceramite armoured gene-enhanced humans with chainswords revving and screaming while Heavy Bolt Pistols staccato bark. Slamming into an enemy position and running straight through it. Bodies left torn and rent, screams of mercy as the heretics hold bloody stumps. This is the definition of brutal assault. This is the grim darkness of the far future.
Garfy’s 2021 Hobby Resolution and Recap of 2020
Celebrating the Last 12 month’s of hobby output is an annual tradition here at Tale of Painters. I’m going to take a look back through the year and share what I managed to paint and how many of my 2020 hobby resolutions I succeeded in completing. I’ll also share my 2021 resolutions.
Showcase: Bloodcrushers of Khorne
Hellblade wielding Bloodletters astride a rampaging Juggernaut is the stuff of nightmares. These Bloodcrushers are led by a Bloodhunter, they’re keen to use their Decapitating Blow to take the Skulls for Khorne. I’m not sure how many skulls are going to be left intact after the Brazen Hooves have trampled the enemy to mush.
ToP Tip: How to Accurately Drill your Gun Barrels
Have you been on the the receiving end of online hobbyists who’s only comment on your excellent paint job is “Drill your barrels out”. Have you ever experienced the fear of drilling a muzzle hole on your 40K weapons? It’s that potential catastrophe of it not being dead centre. Is it really that important? No, of course it isn’t important. It’s your hobby and you don’t have to drill them out. However, if you’d like a ToP Tip on an easier and more accurate way to drill your muzzles then read on!
