During the week after next I have holiday which is the perfect occasion to tackle another big model in my Skaven army: the Warp Lightning Cannon. My Stormvermin will have to wait a little bit before I can get back to them.

I did a very simple but effective conversion as you can see on the picture above. I feel this way the proportions of the model are much better and more compact, the barrel blends better into the chassis and doesn’t stick out as akwardly. I will also mount the model on a more generous 60×100 mm base which enables to put the overseer Skaven on the base, making the chassis less crowded with crew. What do you think of this conversion?

I like the conversion. I'm not a Skaven player, but I think the original model is too tall.
I haven't got one of these, so I'm not very familiar with the model – is there a hole further down that you just used? Or did you have to make it?
If the hole is already there, what is it meant for? For a wheel if you're using the frame a different way up? Or for something else?
Yeah I lowered the barrel/gun piece by putting it not in the top most hole.
I definitely think it's a good idea mounting it on a larger base.
But I'm not completely clear what you've done to the gun. Is it lower? Where have you attached the gun to the frame?
