Having painted all the sub assemblies using my airbrush and then a traditional hairy stick, I glued the items together. I’ve also based the model. Not sure I like how the model over hangs the front of the base so much. Just the turret weapon and underslung weapon left to paint. More after the jump.

So in an earlier blog entry I pledged to paint two Necron units in March. The Annihilation Barge is the first and once it’s completed I’m going to paint my Necron Overlord on foot (which comes with this kit). The plan is to photograph each stage of the Overlord and produce a detailed a tutorial of my scheme. Expect advanced techniques for blending, painting rust and some source lighting.

How in the hell do you paint all the cracks with that blue so flawless please tach me
Water your paint down and if you go over the edge by accident quickly wipe it off with your finger.
Looks excellent!
It's a really weird cumbersome shape, so to make things easier on the eye I'm trying to block out areas with colour. So guns are blue, hull is red, crew and seating are metal. I've painted some of the hull (like the turret mount) metal to try and break it up a little. Should finish it today 😀
amazing garfy! the shapes of it totally works with your pallet.
