Hey All,
Following painting the Vendetta and Valkerie last week, we finally painted the Hydra and Wyvern. The models were fun to paint, although 2 imperial guards at the back are fiddly and took longer than expected. We kept them looking quite different, which colour scheme do you prefer?

Thanks a lot, we appreciate any help to continue and grow Tale of Painters 🙂
They both look great.
Could you elaborate on the techniques used for the Hydra weathering and the Wyvern camouflage scheme?
Hi root, I'm going to be putting up a tutorial in the coming week for them if that helps. Just need to do some editing etc.
These are excellent. Very nice job weathering! As for preference on paint scheme, I feel it all depends on the theme of the army they are going with. I personally prefer the top one (Hydra? – Dark Green)… but both are equally nice.
Looking at these makes me want to paint up some tanks! But, I’m trying to concentrate on finishing my Ultramarine army…
Great paint jobs 🙂
These are really nice. Well done 🙂
I prefer the Hydra scheme, but that isn't saying the Wyvern is a bad scheme.
I see that you paint a lot of the new releases that come out, are they all commission work, or do you own them and get to field the miniatures in games?
Hi Alun, the models you see are mainly either commission or sale. However I do own quite a large Chaos 40K army that I work on whenever I have free time. That army I will use for gaming.
I'm also planning on painting up a bunch of the Astra Militarum models as allies for my chaos guys. But that will be a future project.
very nice work, how do you do the nice little black splotches on your models? I see them appearing very often
Hi ThirdEye – I'm richard the guy who kept commenting on wanting videos several months ago, first up – I'm REALLY glad you are doing videos, you have a fantastic style, and are very well prepared, and also you communicate very well across the screen.
Secondly – It blew my mind that you are a woman. Your style is very aggressive and masculine! Your workspace is also incredibly neat. Thank you for making these videos, and keep it up! I hope there is a noticeable increase in commissions by this!
Hey Richard, I work work with Ksusha. I do most of the painting and she mainly does the admin,Youtube, organisation etc. She is a very good painter though and has had a few of her models on Tale of Painters. The Wyvern above was painted by her and she has a huge Tyranid army, which I hope to show one day.
Hi TEN, well please let Ksusha know she is doing a fantastic job, a bright spot in the world of miniature videos. My feedback is that is professionally filmed, edited and well lit. Ksusha is also informative, well planned, humorous at the right times, and has great verbal and visual expression. Well done guys, very impressed.
Cheers,
Richard
Hey Richard, I'll let her know. She does put a lot of time into each video and I'm sure she'll appreciate the kind words 🙂
