Hey guys, here is a Space Wolves Stormfang that I have recently painted. All in quite traditional Space Wolves colours, but keeping it realistic looking, as usual. I do like the new model, although against it I would say that it’s a little unbalanced on the base with most of the weight at the front going past the base.
What do you guys think?

I mounted the base farther back for balance.
Can I ask the main blue/grey colour you used for the hull? I want to airbrush one during my week off and I like the OSL and more realistic approach to the paint scheme, cheers
The model looks superb. I really appreciate the gritty approach to the (as of late) cartoony Space Wolves here.
What I cannot put together is the base, something seems off with it. Is it supposed to be a snow base? Is it a swampy area with rocks jutting out? This is probably my only qualm about this.
Lovely as always!
You did a great job of bringing some much needed realism to this sculpt.
Looks good overall, but there are a few areas that could be improved: there is quite a bit of yellow overspray around the left logo, the zigzag pattern around the engines is crooked, and the ASL and black carbon buildup around the intakes is really OTT. The metallics look lovely. Are they vallejo?
The paints for the metallics are Vallejo. They do some nice colours. I think it came out pretty nice though apart from a few mishaps pointed out. I speed painted the whole thing in the course of one evening having fun whilst drinking some beer, so that's probably why a few things aren't 100% perfect 🙂
Great looking model; love the overall look of a vessel that's been through the heat of re-entry. I would have gone a bit lighter on the blackening on the engines, and not a fan of the blacked-out canopy myself; but otherwise a model to be envious of.
Not a comment about your painting, but I still can't believe Jes Goodwin is rubber stamping these kinds of designs.
Looks great. I like the highlights and the used look
The model itself, made a habit, is not so unwatchable, at the end is a kind of Caestus…always better than the space sled idea LOL
Wow your beautiful work, makes the idea of a vehicle that has done more than one entry into the atmosphere or different battles…but, personal taste do not be offended, i would have blackened the engines area a bit less.
I actually started painting the Space Sledge and then stopped. Its not a nice model. Maybe one day I'll pick it up again when I have time.
