Hey all, today I want to show another model from the Alpha Legion army that I have recently completed as a commission. That being a Forge World Leviathan Dreadnought.
Lucky for me the model had already been assembled in quite a dynamic pose by the customer, so all I had to do was base and paint him. I went with the same colour scheme as I showed a few posts ago with the Rhino and Leviathan, which is basically a dulled down metallic blue. I also used Alpha Legion transfers from Forge World. Overall I love this model and really enjoyed working on it. I can really imagine this thing smashing the hell out of vehicles and troops. It really does look like something you do not want to be close to in a fight.
In the next post I will show some more Alpha Legion models I have worked on. Are you guys ready for the Renegade Imperial Knights? I’m pretty excited and have just ordered a box (from Dark Sphere) with the intention of making 2 Chaos Knights. Can’t wait!!

Hey Marcus, yes, I painted a basecoat mixed with pigments. Then used hairspray and added another basecoat on top, which was scratched away using warm water and cut down ear stick.
Colour scheem is of the hook! I would Love to have the recepie, BTW is that scratch chipping on the bronish red?

I'm loving the work you have done on the Alphas. A completely refreshing take on how they should look rather than the rather nasty untasteful blue metallic I see a lot. Brilliant and cant wait to see the rest of the army you have worked on. Jed

Great job, lovely blue you have for these Alphas, shame your customer didn't maximise the armament choosing both a ranger and CcW. I think Leviathans should be either both CCW arms in a Drop Pod or Melta Arm and CcW up field, or two Storm Cannons in own back lines, just my opinion mind. Great paint job regardless of gaming role
Gotta say that's one of the best Leviathan's I've seen yet in both paint scheme and pose, nicely done 🙂

Great Dreadnought! I really like the colour scheme on your Alpha Legion. The greyish blue you use looks a lot better than the tacky metallic blue that FW uses.

Another great model from you. You're the prime reason I follow this site as I find your style of painting novel and very inspirational, this model is another excellent example of this.
