Hi there, here is Aurélie, back with some Imperial Knights of House Hawkshroud, including spider insignia on the carapaces. The challenge was to paint the spider legs as close to the reference picture as possible. More after the jump.
For the spiders I looked into the Imperial Knights codex, page 37, for reference. First, I airbrushed the bodies of the spiders (with the help of masking tape). For the legs I first applied thin outlines as parallel as possible with a brush (so I could correct them more easily if needed), then filled them in with black paint.
How do you like my Knights? Let me know in the comments.

Great painting. Especially impressed with the yellow. Mine never quire gets that bright. What's your secret?
Really cool – super clean paint job! How long did they take to paint?
Thank you! Nearly 20h, don't know exactly.
Just so you know Hawkshroud Knights do not have spiders on their back. Auric Arachnus is a freeblade with the spider on its back.
