Valkia the Bloody. Why, why, why do Games Workshop continue to make the most fragile models in Finecast ? Don’t get me wrong I love the model. But how fragile was she to put together let alone paint. It all went well though. Nothing broke. Which was a miracle and well worth celebrating.
She is now safely in the hands of her new owner who I wish luck in gaming with her. I heard she’s a tough character to play but pretty nasty if used correctly. Anyone else have any stories with Valkia ?

You guys have been lucky. I have had times when I just touched the model with a paint brush and its snapped.
If you drop a metal mini it breaks apart. Finecast bounces. I worked on a metal lictor recently and found cleaning it up and pinning to be a pain. I didn't use to mind but fine cast has made that side of the hobby easier. I straightened my fine cast kharns axe shaft with a hair dryer and cold water. It's perfectly straight now. That's harder to do with metal.
You're wrong with this one… Finecast bends to just crazy angles without breaking, unlike FW resin.
I heard that if you drop FW resin it shatters. But I'm super protective over all the FW stuff that I own.
Yep. Finecast is crap…still. For example I can see here how here spear is not straight.

Oddly enough, it is because of finecast that they are making more fragile minis! The metal wouldn't be a guarenteed flow through the mold. They are frail but very pretty
