Just for fun, not a test piece, I’ve always wanted to paint a Howling Griffon! More odd bods to follow in the next few weeks. More pics after the jump.

Thanks a lot, we appreciate any help to continue and grow Tale of Painters 🙂
Looks great. Nice contrast between the different armor segments. However, because the bionic eye lens is very dark it looks as if you did not paint the left side of his helmet. Just a tad brigher would probably help.
Great model, but agreed with Audrey.. the left side could be a bit brighter.. maybe some OSL on the bionic there also?
Always nice to see a Howling Griffon on the internet 🙂 Very nice quartering on him – and I like the green purity seals (I always did my Griffons with green purity seals too).
The only thing I'm unsure about is the blue on the jets of the jump pack. What with the blue eyes, sword and emblem, it's looking quite busy.
Thanks for the comments chaps. The eye lens was a deliberate effort to maximise the contrast effect portrayed by a quartered scheme – it obviously hasnt had that effect! Enjoyed painting him, likely to be my only ever HG! rev
Challenge Accepted. 😀
I have been thinking on painting a new marine to sell on the ebay, but the usual colours are boring, so howling griffons here I go.
