I’ve dragged out an old picture from my old photobucket account to share with you guys today. I don’t really get into painting competitions but this is my highest achieving piece to date. He dates back to 2007 and he won me best single miniature and overall winner at Games Workshops Conflict South event. I also entered him into Golden Demon in the same year (the only time I’ve ever entered) and picked up a finalist pin. More pics after the jump.
Is anyone entering Golden Demon this year? What’s your greatest hobby achievement?

I like the TMP.
Isn't the Iron Halo broken?
Yes it is. It's been fixed since i took the photo all those years ago.
Was it really 2007 when we did that mate? Our idea of Tau/Eldar gun line did not live upto expectations in the gaming arena lol but the painting was a clean sweep 🙂
I'm not entering this year, but I do hope to next year. A trophy would be out of my league, so a finalists pin would be all I could hope for. Still, I'll enter just for a laugh. Great mini BTW, well deserving of the pin! I only hope I can match that standard next year!!
Glad that you showed this Garfy.. am not much of a competition painter, but I also entered in a duel to this years GD Germany, and got a finalist pin! Was super proud of the little piece and also think it was my best piece, until my next one 🙂
Now I have been bitten by the bug, but unfortunately will be in Germany again instead of UK for this years GD. Good luck to the rest that join it though!
