You may have already seen this Chaplain model the other day when I shared my finished boxset post, but I wanted to give him his own showcase post and show a couple more angels of the model. More after the jump.
I think I left this model last on purpose. Whilst it’s a great sculpt and it demonstrates Games Workshop’s ability to produce incredible, layered plastic models I just felt the thing was a chore to paint. It’s possible it was all the cloth areas that had to be blended, or it could have been the amount of detail. Or perhaps it’s jus the fact it was the last model to paint from the set so I had no choice in the matter. He had to be painted so felt like a chore.
I must finish my Blood Angel jump pack Chaplain next. Watch this space.

Imo if you were going to do black/bone helmet it would look better if you had done the top half black or the entire helmet bone and not left the ear muffs black. Looks a bit weird. Very nice colors tho looks very cool.
What range did you use for the bone?
Absolutely stunning!!
Love the color scheme and the quality of the job.
The bone colored helmet is very original!
