Tripwire is back with a gallery of my elite, close combat unit, the Emperor’s malice.
My space marine force lacked any real close combat punch, so I finished these terminators earlier in the year. I painted them white, to stand out from my main force, which is painted grey and blue. I chose to make only one arm blue, to tie it to the chapter colors in a unique way.
I gave the Sgt. as much ornamentation as I could, not only to set him apart from the rest of the squad, but to make him look important if I decide to take him as a terminator captain in smaller games.
I’m quite pleased with the way they turned out. Painting anything white and not losing the details means taking painstaking hours applying washes into the details and retouching the surfaces.
How do you like them?

Love that painting, really crisp stuff. Sadly I think you let yourself down in the posing.
Some of the poses I'm happy with, others could have turned out better.
To be honest, that terminator kit is tough to pose. The "intended" poses are all very static, and any attempt to bring some dynamism and variety to your models risks looking silly.
These are so neat and clean. I really like them.
I like the asymmetrical look with the blue arm. Marks them out as something special.
Those look great, I love that colour scheme!
thanks, I'm a sucker for asymmetry.
