Hey everyone, Lecoqadoodledo here with a Primaris Ultramarine Captain. I painted this guy as a gift for a close friend that got me into the hobby. I decided on an Ultramarine because they’re my friend’s favourite chapter, and he’s a bit of a son of Guilliman himself. I’d never painted one before, so I figured I’d stick as close to an ‘Eavy Metal style paint job as possible.
I really enjoyed painting this scheme, and it’s an incredibly detailed sculpt to really show off a lot of techniques. I also used it as an excuse to try out a few recipes I’d been meaning to test out with the current Citadel paint range, specifically the red fabric and faux gold detail in the cloak lining.
Hope you guys like him, and hopefully, I’ll have another post sooner rather than later!

Great model, great paint job. When do you apply for 'Eavy Metal? 😀
Saw this model up close! It's fantastic!!
Wow, I mean the model is fantastic, but the skin is exceptional, looks very lifelike.
If you have the recipe still handy, would love to know what colours you used.
Cheers
