Hey guys, it’s Aurélie, I’m back with this Horus Heresy Leviathan Dreadnought painted in the livery of the XIII. Legion, the Ultramarines. It’s a commission piece I’m also entering for the Scale Model Challenge. Check out more pictures after the jump.
I added a couple of freehands, like the skulls on the hull. I started with a medium brown, then added white and black to work my way through the highlights and shadows.
Hope you enjoy my Leviathan and maybe you can spot him if you attend the Scale Model Challenge in Eindhoven. Leave a comment or reaction below!

Exactly what I think an Ultramarine dreadnought should look like… An honoured hero with centuries of experience serving his chapter.
Lovely freehand heraldry.
Lovely 'warm' blue.
Imho the grav-flux bombard osl should extend onto the carapace a bit & the base could do with some tufts or some point of interest, but not too distracting.
I'm not trying to belittle this lovely paint job, merely give constructive advice.
Stunning !
If i had to pick out something that is not amazing, i would say the rockets…
i would leave them white, but that is just my unworthy opinion…
The Leviathan Dreadnought is my favorite Forgeworld Model, now more than ever ^^
