Chaplain Cassius is completed. After the jump you can see some more angles and also a group shot with my two other Chaplain from my Imperial Army.
Having finished my first model from the boxset, I’m so pumped to paint some more. I painted Cassius at the same time as the Ultramarine Deathwatch model and I think I will paint the other members of the Deathwatch two at a time as well.
The back is just as detailed as the front.
I love this shot. My vision of a unified army made up of lots of different factions is coming together. Here we have Dark Angels, Ultramarines/Deathwatch and Blood Angels. Blue eyes/lights, red weapons and black armour all painted the same way are ensuring consistent results.

Is it me, or does the Deathwatch chaplain looks even more detailed (modelwise) than the other two chaplains? Or maybe I'm just too used to seeing the other two by now and so I'm less impressed with how they look. 😀

Wow, he looks amazing! You really did the model justice. The toned-down gold strikes a perfect balance between ornamental and gritty
Also, thanks for the side by side shot – it reminds me of all the DV stuff I still have yet to paint…
Top stuff as always Garfy! idk how anyone else feels I haven't been so impressed with any marine releases since Space Hulk. Then again haha others may disagree haha
