This evening I got a wash over the base coat of Leadbelcher on the Shieldbeards. I used the Drákenhof Nightshade thinned with Lahmian Medium 50/50. It gives the metal a nice blue steel look but of course will need to be highlighted now.

I like how that turned out to be. Usually with my washes I get it all over the model and ruin the paintjob. I'm assuming you applied the paint only to the recesses one by one.
For the blue steel effect on my Dreadknight I used a diluted Gulliman Glaze applied in layers and would like to know what you think. Of course, I had a lot more surface to work with but you get the idea 🙂

haha nice. I always liked dwarfs but they are hard to paint… tons of detail compared to a lot of other minis out there
Tons of detail compared to other minis out there!! Even compared to just the other WHFB factions Dwarfs have easily the most clean and simple looking miniatures out there
