Building a main force of the Black Legion is a great foundation, but the real fun of being a Chaos Space Marine player is the narrative freedom to include other warbands. Today, I present you a new addition to the ranks: a Nemesis Claw Kill Team of Night Lords, ready to bring fear and psychological warfare to the enemies of Chaos.

My Black Legion force is one of the most exciting armies in my collection. That’s not to say the others are boring, but one of the biggest advantages of being a Chaos Space Marine player is the sheer variety, personality, and wonderfully weird Warhammer 40k energy you can bring to your collection.

Chaos, and especially Chaos Space Marine miniatures, offers a range of models that immediately spark storytelling the moment you build them. The dark, twisted details practically scream narrative potential. For a hobbyist who loves lore, these models are a dream: they’re rich with character and easily personalised to reflect your own vision on the tabletop.

I’ve mentioned before that all are welcome to join my band of renegades and heretics, so long as they “bend the knee”. Today, I’m excited to share my Night Lords Nemesis Claw Kill Team.

As I’ve said, having an army that allows flexibility in model selection is a real “boon” for a narrative hobbyist. It gives me the freedom to include a mix of renegades and evil-doers. Characters who are forced to band together, make uneasy alliances, and cooperate to survive or pursue their own insidious agendas. As the saying goes: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

I’m hoping to continue slowly growing this force over the coming months and years, eventually building a collection full of enigmatic and unique models. There’s much more to come!
