Hey guys, I’ve just put the finishing touches to the second and final batch of Fire Dragons! So what’s next apart from varnishing and group pictures? Another Eldar model coming along, I’m going to paint Prince Yriel in Saim-Hann colours.
How do you like them? I really love how the red crest of the Exarch turned out.

Thanks a lot, we appreciate any help to continue and grow Tale of Painters 🙂
I love the new Eldar fire dragons. The only thing I would add is a gem to the exarch helm. Usually they have more spirit stones than the troops and such. Is there a chance you can take pictures of the backs of the dragons? I truly love it when you paint Eldar.
Thanks! Matt

Yeah mate, I know exactly what you mean. This is a problem throughout the army so for the sake of uniformity I'm going to leave the gold areas as they are.
@ Ollie
The white looks only good in the pictures, in real life it's a bit chalky 😉

Yeah, stay tuned, I varnished them yesterday so I'm able to take pictures soon!
Very nice, I especially like the shading on the armour. Very inspiring!
Out of everything I've seen you paint I have to say that these are my favorite. I agree with Garfy on the gold but other than that I really cant fault them. Can you post a picture of the unit as a whole?
They look beautiful, as we all knew they would! I really like the subtle shading on the helmets, it's so hard to get white right, but you seem to have managed it perfectly here.
Looking forward to seeing the Prince soon.
Nice work, like the colour choice for the armour and the spot colour on the sash. Again, great unusual choice for the weapons.
The red crest really does stand out. This can only be a good thing for war gaming where you need your characters and leaders to stand out from the rank and file.
The gold icon on the helm is a bit flat though. With everything else on the model having strong outlines and shading, this icon is missing the extra depth that an outline can give. It's only a tiny thing though, and not worth worrying about for squad painting.
Great work Stahly.
