I’ve been painting the details on my Thunderhawk. I’ve painted the side access doors, the aquillas, and the metal vent areas on the roof. It’s only a small update so no pics after the jump.

Oh yeah don't get me wrong it is faster then brush, and it's also a smoother flatter result.
That's what I figured, more about consistency than speed. I guess the ease of application helps with the larger pieces though 😉
I don't use my airbrush as a time saving measure. I use it to achieve better results. If those results take longer then that's cool with me.
I don't like rushed airbrush paint jobs you see from so many commission painters nowadays. OK they're cool and serve a purpose, but it's not my cup of tea.
Nice. Now do you find that the time you make up in air brushing is lost when cleaning the air brush & doing the details since you need to be extra careful not to screw up the nice air brush coat? I think I'll track stuff like that when I start air brushing and do a comparison on my blog. I bet on bigger models it saves time but on minis it probably all levels out…
Looking good dude! For Macragge!
