The title is a little misleading as this actually the forth Riptide I have now painted, but the second one I have shown on Tale of Painters. Again on this one as with the other Tau I have recently painted I kept a very neutral palette of colour. I think this look is quite effective as opposed to the Bumblebee yellow. And when I finally get the chance to work on my own Death Guard army I will probably also use something similar. The last few weeks for me have been incredibly busy. I haven’t so much painted many models but have been assembling a huge amount of Ogres for a commission. So hopefully in the coming week I will get some of those shown. I’m particularly excited about working on a limited edition Braugh Slavelord that was sculpted by Mark Bedford way back in 2004. What do you guys think about the colour scheme I used on the Riptide?

I was wondering what your vase coat color was? It appears to be almost like a Vallejo sand, with white/black weathering? I really like it to be honest.
Nice, as usual! Poot's right, any chance you could do a tut on that colour scheme?
This is a pretty awesome paint-job, but the mold lines on the jetpack really detract from this work.
I dont suppose we could have a tutorial of how you do your particular style of painting?
I really like the way the emblems glow compared to the weathered edges of the rest of the suit. It is a great model and you did it justice with the painting!
