This Librarian came with issue 11 of the Partworks Imperium Magazine and was pretty fun to paint. It’s actually the second time I’ve painting this model. The first time was when I bought a copy of the Shadowspear and painted one up for my Dark Angels. I’m currently painting Black Templars at the moment and Librarians are a big no no so I decided to paint one for my fledging Blood Angel force.
I definitely wanted a traditional blue armour for my Librarian and I toyed with the idea of painting the camo cloak in camouflage but in the end I went for traditional a bone coloured robe. I added the yellow pipes to really evoke that 90s eavy metal colour scheme.

- White Undercoat
- Caledor Sky basecoat
- Wash shade with Ultramarine Blue
- Shade further with Kantor Blue
- Line with Leviadon Blue
- Wide Highlight Teclis Blue
- Edge Highlight Fenrisian Blue
I just need to paint 5 Assault Intercessors to complete last month’s Imperium Subscription Delivery.
