Hey folks! Here’s a picture of the finished Scorpius. Complete with heat-tinted exhausts and freehand painted symbols and checks.
All in all this was a really fun project. I’m looking forward to more Dark Angel models in every variety in the not too distant future. I’m also planning to do a small tutorial about the black armour trick/technique I used on this model.

Fantastic work! Cannot wait for your tutorial…as I have already asked for it under your earlier post on this vehicle:-)
Just to be sure – the Scorpius is from Forge World which needs the basic Rhino kit to be built? Or the parts I receive upon order from Forge world are enough to construct the model as shown above?
Thanks and all the best!
Tomas
Echo the call for a tutorial. I thought I could handle black as I'd done it on my Tyranid claws but I was wrong when it came to my Ravenwing, so I'll be ectremely interested to see how you acheived such good results.
Lovely! Circles within circles my unforgiven brother -_- Tell them nothing.
Hey all! Glad you like the tank. I'll sort out a tutorial using something black and armoured shortly. Oh. and when you by one of these from Forgeworld, they send a plastic rhino kit and the resin variant parts. So you get the unused plastic components for your bits box too. Bargain. 🙂
Thanks for the answer! I did not expect such a bargain:-). Just ordered it.
Once again – thanks for bringing the light into this for me.
Can't wait for the tutorial…
Have a nice day.

Looking great Jester! I especially like the shaded checker pattern and the fading highlights. Sublime.
Can't wait for your tutorial!
