

Next up is another of my older Ultramarines squads. I’ve reworked a Tactical and a Devastator Squad, which makes an Assault Squad a natural next choice. Above you can see all the changes I made: a new Sergeant made from plastic Vanguard parts, a second flamer, some new arms, heads and torsos here and there, and last but not least 32mm bases. I’ve already retouched the models in 2015, but not as thoroughly as my recently finished Tactical and Devastator Squads. Also note the original Sergeant model, a metal Vanguard Veteran. When I assembled the squad about 8 or 9 years ago, I preferred to use metal Veteran models as Sergeant as there weren’t that many options available in plastic.
Stahly
The mysterious masked Stahly is the founder and mastermind of Tale of Painters. Hailing from Craftworld Germany, he has been walking the Path of the Warhammer Collector since childhood. Over the decades, he has painted multiple armies and countless warbands and miniatures.
