Hey guys, have a look at my Skathach Wraithknight. I made some good progress so far, legs and hip are finished (apart from the armour plates). As you can see, I changed the pose of the legs into a forward-striding stance. Next, I’ll work on the upper body.
By the way, I’m super excited for all the Eldar teases we’ve seen so far on Warhammer TV, the Gyrinx painting video and the teaser with the rune. I can’t wait to find out how the Eldar will fit in the unfolding 40k storyline, and what new models we might see soon. What do you think the new rune will stand for?

How do you decide how far to go on an armor panel with your airbrush colors? Are you doing a basecoat, then highlights, then shades? Or maybe starting dark and adding lighter colors on top of that? I'd love a tutorial on your airbrush use!
I feel I'm not the one who should be writing an Airbrush tutorial. My airbrushing is a lot of trial and error (more error actually). I'm a total noob, clogging my airbrush all the time, which is frustrating. For the Wraithknight I started with a basecoat, then did the shading, then base colour again, and two steps of highlighting. Then retouching with the basecoat and highlight colours as needed. I remember I needed a lot retouching for this model…
I feel ya. I'm still very uncomfortable with my airbrush, and I can't quite decide how to use it effectively. Still firmly in the trial and error stages of learning!
I'll practice a few layers of highlighting over a basecoat on a few models. I want to at least have a plan before I point it at my fun ones!
