I don’t like to leave a unit or model unfinished but I’ve got two weeks off from work the week after next so this is the perfect opportunity to tackle a big and challenging model like the Screaming Bell. So I started assembling the main structure. The wooden frame was full of nooks and crannies with lots of mold lines to clean. Also some parts of the model are difficult to hold because there are spikes litteraly everywhere.

Another question on an older post. The wooden ball in the upper left hand corner of the photo, do you use it as a reference for shading/lighting on figures? I saw it and was trying to figure out it's purpose. Sorry for dredging up old posts, but I'm starting from the beginning! It's like a time-capsule for me!
