This guy should be pretty much done (apart from tidying up some mistakes maybe), however I’m not happy about how the blood on the blade turned out. I’m going to look for some blood tutorials and probably repaint it.

The blood looks a bit purple and the skull on his shoulder could use a few more highlights IMHO but other than that he looks great. In fact i'm setting up a few mousetraps just in case!

Muskie, thanks for your feedback and the tutorial. However I think working with Clear Red doesn't suit me painting style, I think my blood effect should be more graphic.
Actually the severed heads are of a very different colour than the Skaven skin, you just can't see it on the quick snapshot above. I aimed for a more healthy and human paintjob on the heads as a contrast because of the very pale skin of my Skaven. I also think that these heads are freshly chopped off in the midst of battle so I don't want them to be too much zombie like.
The blood looks a little too purple. Also the skin color of your severed heads looks too healthy and too close to the skin color of the warlord. Other than that good job. A thin wash, very thin, of purple or green, or even blue will discolor the heads more. Make them look less healthy. Wet blood is easy to do if you can find Tamiya Clear Red.
