Yeah I know, it needs a bigger base. But this was the base that came with the Forge World Dark Eldar Tantalus that I painted many years ago. I always thought it was funny.
Luckily enough for the owner, I did actually grab a flying base and paint that up to change from the amazingly small one pictured here.
I’m showing this Tantalus today as I’m just about to start work on a friends Dark Eldar army and we are going to go with this colour scheme which I think works well. His army is quite small around 1K points, but it’s still kind of cool as he has been out of the hobby for around 20 years and just getting back into it.
I know its an old model but what do you think?

I love how it's got like a cool Michael Bay sort of look happening. It looks like it's been darting through the battlefield as explosions and shrapnel scatter around it. Awesome stuff and truly inspiring!!!
JJ.
I really like your color choice here. The base looks ridiculous, but the model looks fantastic. The cool blueish tones and the warm red complement each other really well.
Hey cheers, yeah that base. Not certain if it was a mistake or at the time it was the one of choice. I see on FW website they have the large base.
I really like the model
If i was to do an Dark Eldar army then this would be the center piece
