Hi all, Rich back again with some more Custodies, this time the lovely model from Forge World, Constantin Valdor. I really like this model, he feels far grander and imposing than his 40k counterpart Trajann Valoris. I’m starting to think about how I can ready my army for Apocalypse and I think he will work very nicely as the leader of my Custodies detachment, either as a Shield-Captain or a proxy for Trajann.
The base is designed in 3 parts so you can remove Constantine from the large scenic base whilst still standing on a 40mm base which is currently disguised. I chose not to mount the scenic base on the 60mm base supplied because it is just for show, I felt it looked odd with a relatively small 60mm base below it. In terms of the painting he is done in the same colour scheme as my other Custodes. The armour is gloss black, copper then gold from Vallejos excellent metal colors range. I use purple ink in some of the recesses and a silver edge highlight.
That’s all from me this time, I’ll see you next time with something different. I’m not sure what yet, but I’m feel nostalgic.
