I get stuck on certain ideas. Even though I’m constantly reminded that they’re rubbish in competative games terms I can’t seem to shift myself away from them. The ‘no sponson predator’ is a good example. I don’t understand why people aren’t scared of an AV13 box that costs like 80 (ish) pts – but apparently I’m wrong. Oh well, it doesn’t really matter since I play 40k once a year at most.
The Landspeeder (after the jump) was fun, I thought the dual chin flamers was a good looking idea. I also added a heavy flamer to the dred arm – legal? Who cares, it looks cool right?!

I'm with Oink, sometimes a cool idea is better than simply what works on the table top. I try to sneak in a squad of Swooping Hawks or Shining Spears in a game here and there, purely on the basis that they are gorgeous models.
Fantastic paint job, especially love the lens effects on the spot lights, and the small scratch like battle damage.

Those guys do look cool. The conversion on the pilot and co-pilot for the Land Speeder jumped out. Also, heavy flamer on the Dreadnought is legal. The small flamer that comes in the kit is actually a heavy flamer.

The "Rule of Cool" is what I call it… You're right, I care more that it looks good than if it actually IS good! Also, I love the cog design added to your drop pod door… I htink it really helps to add character, I've got a bunch of Iron Hand drop pods for my army but they are looking somewhat bare and boring… Consider your idea nicked by the way!
