As I’ve said before, I’m not really convinced by the IoB weapon teams, the weapons itself have rather basic and boring shapes and upon closer inspection they don’t seem as they could really work. However the painting was quite fun because it was my first time at painting fire. I went for a magic green flame instead of a more traditional yellow/orange/red one. I applied the same colours that I use for painting warpstone but in reverse order and added some black for the fume and small white dots for the glistering ash.

The mysterious masked Stahly is the founder and mastermind of Tale of Painters. Hailing from Craftworld Germany, he has been walking the Path of the Warhammer Collector since childhood. Over the decades, he has painted multiple armies and countless warbands and miniatures. When he's not painting miniatures or working on his library of hand-painted colour swatches, he's testing the latest paints, tools and model kits with German precision and a no non-sense attitude.
Damn man, you are the best painter ever, brilliant job.
It's brilliant. Well done Stahly!
I really love the green cloths you got and the texture on the tank (which the second skaven is hoisting on his back). Would you mind sharing some tips on achieving a decent green cloth?
