Showcase: The Grymwatch (inc. painting guide)
Join me on a quest to track down a gallant bunch of elusive heroes so I can recruit them to the court of my Arch Regent. On today’s blog post, I share how I got my hands on the discontinued Grymwatch, some stunning photography and how I painted them.
Showcase: Nighthaunt Headman’s Curse Bearer of the Block (inc. painting guide)
Enter the grim and haunting Headman’s Curse, the new Nighthaunt warband for the Wyrdhollow season of Warhammer Underworlds. Amongst the cursed executioners of Nagash stands the Bearer of the Block, a sinister henchman of the Bearer of the Blade. This is the first model I painted of the Headman’s Curse, and in this post I’ll provide you with a complete painting guide for recreating my Nighthaunt scheme.e

Showcase: Burning Chariot of Tzeentch (inc. painting guides)
The Burning Chariot of Tzeentch model floats onto the blog today. If you like subassemblies then this is the model for you. This post also includes all the paint recipes you’ll need for this confusing pyromaniac.
Showcase: Warcry: Crypt of Blood Terrain (inc. painting guides)
You’ve ordered Warcry Crypt of Blood and you plan to throw the paper gaming sheet in the bin and make your own board, the next step is to paint the Crypt Noctis. I’ll share how I painted my ancient burial ground terrain pieces in this blog post.
Review: Warcry: Crypt of Blood starter set
Similar to Kill Team before it, Warcry, the skirmish offshoot of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, now also receives a compact starter box. However, it’s surprising that the set doesn’t include models or terrain pieces from the original Warcry launch box. Instead, it features two recycled Warhammer: Underworlds warbands combined with a new set of graveyard scenery. In my review, I’ll explain whether Warcry: Crypt of Blood is worth it or not.
Tutorial: How to make your own Warcry Starter Set Wargaming Board
In this blog post I explain in detail how I made a proper 3d warcry board to replace the paper one that comes in the Warcry Starter Set. Includes FREE downloads.
Showcase: Flesh-eater Courts Jerrion’s Delegation (inc. paint recipes)
Jerrion sallies forth from the citadel with a contingent of virtuous knights and devoted serfs to bring his King’s message to all the lands. The new Dawnbringer box sets hit store shelves this weekend and I was lucky enough to get them early. Having recently painted the Royal Beastflayers, I thought I’d continue on my quest to amass a Flesh-eater Courts army worthy of marching under their Lord’s royal banner and chose to paint up the entire Jerrion’s Delegation boxed set.
Short review: Dawnbringers box sets
A new Season of Warhammer Age of Sigmar begins with a new narrative series, Dawnbringers, which tells of the beginnings of Sigmar’s Twin-tailed Crusade. To coincide with Book 1, four new boxes are released, each forming a Regiment of Renown and a new miniature for their faction: Phlugoth’s Shudderhood, Braggit’s Bottle-snatchaz, Fjori’s Flamebearers, and Jerrion’s Delegation.
Showcase: Disciples of Tzeentch Cursling
I’ve been painting models dedicated to the Chaos Gods for a while now and in this post I have a huge group shot of all the models I’ve painted in my Blades of Khorne, Maggotkin of Nurgle, Hedonites of Slaanesh and Disciples of Tzeentch forces. But first, here’s the latest model to join the ranks, the Cursling!
