This is my version of the main Eldar battle tank. I wasn’t really sold on the long barreled prism cannon, so I did this “old school” conversion. I think the proportions are sleeker that way.
I cut the barrel away and shortened the front crystal with a saw. I’m really glad I’m going to paint over the crystal as it is really difficult to build this kit without staining the clear plastic. The multitude of gaps in the cage doesn’t really help…
I also added Holofields made of the old Crystal Targeting Matrix bits from the Wave Serpent sprue, as on my Falcon. The Spirit Stone on the hull and the short antenna on the turret were also from this kit.

Over the decades, he has painted multiple armies and countless warbands and miniatures. When he's not painting miniatures or working on his library of hand-painted colour swatches, he's testing the latest paints, tools and model kits with German precision and a no non-sense attitude.
glad to see you did this conversion as it's the same direction mine is going. I don't know about you, but the clear plastic crystal does nothing for me.
Are you going to be painting over the canopies as well?
