This commission was for two small units of power armour Grey Knights, each led by a hooded hammer bearer. The swords painted by hand rather than airbrush, as I find it quicker weirdly to do it by hand. I’ve enjoyed perfecting this deep black, and finally have found a recipe which I’m reasonably happy with. I found the Storm Raven a pain, I hate vehicles both to paint and to use in game. But then, I’ve not played for about 10 years so don’t mind me. This will be the final installment of the Grey Knights for the current client, who has decided to sell them on. If you’re interested in watching their progress you can find them HERE. EDIT – I notice that they’re now sold (which was fast).

Amazing painting Rev – truly inspirational.
Tell me – how did you paint the blue glow of the eyes? Was it the new gw glaze on a white primed head? or really really thinned down lothern blue?
Thanks 🙂
