I just ordered some Tamiya Clear Red… very excited about trying it out. Have you ever tried flicking it on with a toothbrush mate? I'm thinking that would be good for spatter? Or are the models too small?
Tamiya red clear is great stuff. I don't know about flicking it though as it has the consistency of nail varnish. And never accidentally lick the stuff. It tastes brutal 🙂
Pheeww 🙂 Thanks all for the positive feedbacks. And thanks Garfy for protecting my back :). I will start showing how I work and how I get certain effects etc. But will need a few weeks before I can start doing so. Due to a few commissions that I'm desperately trying to finish so that I have more free time.
I generally use airbrush for most of my work. The metal weathered effect was mainly achieved by using scorched brown/chaos black dabbed on carefully using a small sponge. I also used gold rub and buff for the bronze effect. The gore and all was Tamiya red clear.
I'll try in later posts to do some wips.
I would love to see how the metal was done on the body.
Looks amazing! Love the OSL on the ectoplasma cannons cooling vents.
At first I didn't like the 3 ectoplasma guns version, but this looks really amazing 🙂
I agree. This is the first one I've seen that makes me like this version. Very nice work.
Third Eye Nuke, has only been with us 1 week. Give him a chance to settle in 🙂
Great work Chris. Your great basing, fast pace and realistic gore are great. Can't wait to see more from you.
I'm thinking about giving the realistic gore a go when I paint my Black Legion.
I like it but as with your other models: WHY don't you give out more infos? Why no WIP or small tutorials?
Would be so much better than just a simple "Here, look at this mini"
Love the plasma effects and the way organic melds with metal. Excellent job – better than the eavy metal one IMO.
Very Nice! (i am not a choas player so please excuse my lack of knowledge 😉 ) The gun with the glowing plasma looks very realistic, your OSL is very good. Can I ask if you use airburshes for these massive figures, just for the ease of painting and production rate? thanks.
