Last night I finally finished a huge Ogre Kingdom commission. The whole thing was quite exhausting even though I’m glad I have tackled it and come out quite happy with the results. I’m now looking forward to be able to paint some smaller units that I also have as commission work for Grey Knights, Tau and Orks. I think when you take on painting one type of model in such huge quantity’s it can be really hard work to see things out to the end. So my hat is off to anyone painting up an entire army. Its a tough project. Over the next few days I’m going to be showcasing some of the models that I thought turned out nice, starting with some Ogre Bulls. Anyone else painted an entire army from start to finish and how did you find the experience ?

Thanks a lot, we appreciate any help to continue and grow Tale of Painters 🙂
they look beautiful. im guessing your sending off each complete unit when they are finished but i would love to see a full group shot! if thats possible.
on the last strech of my armies on parade tau army now and its busting my balls. so satisfying though, all airbrush and oilpaints so all the effort is going into gems, osl and lenses.

Hey Henry, I took some photos ealier today of everything together so I will post that on TOPs later next week.
The Tau are looking nice 🙂
They were worth the effort. Your customer will be extremely happy to own those.
I think they look great. I never liked the skintone on the GW ogres (lot of skin on ogres!), but you have nice look on yours. I am currently painting up an entire Crimson Fists army for myself (http://tinyurl.com/no6k2jz), and I find it less daunting to set goals based on points. So I first got a 1000 point list painted, then I added 500 more to 1500, and now adding 350 more to get to 1850.
