Hey there, this is a quick showcase post for the three test models I painted to get a hang of my craftworld Iybraesil paint scheme. For now that I’m confident with the paint scheme, I won’t continue painting a full squad, because I already own 20 Saim-Hann guardians and there are more appalling models sitting unpainted in my shelf 😉 Instead there will be a squad of Rangers next. And yes, there will be a Iybraesil tutorial on Tale of Painters. Just give me a little more time – make sure to check back often 😉
How do you like the models?

Stahly is the founder of Tale of Painters. He lives in Craftworld Hamburg, located in the north of Germany, where he walks the Path of the Graphic Designer. He transitioned from Lego to Games Workshop models at the tender age of 11 and didn't look back ever since. He is known for bold colour schemes and sharp edge highlights, which he paints with typical German perfectionism (one of the reason he is such a notoriously slow painter).
Those are *so* beautiful! Really looking forward to that tutorial!
Excellent, especially for a basic troop.
A solid work, they look crisp and clean as Eldar should in my opinion.
The only thing I do think I would have done different if I would have done it is the Boob highlight, it looks wrong and draw my eyes to them in an unnecessary way. I think a very subtle highlight on top and soft diffuse shadow under the them would have been better.
And the shadow on the "gems" or egg shaped bulbs on the weapon is a bit sharp and should be a minimum on the top side in my opinion.
But this is all nitpicking and I would most likely not do as good job as this any way… so who am I to complaint.
Looking forward to the rangers.
They look awesome, I love the colour scheme.
