I converted and painted this Parasite of Mortrex when the last edition of the Tyranid Codex was released so this post is a bit of a ‘throwback thursday’. His background story so cool I just had to have one. I was pretty gutted when he was dropped from the current codex. I made his implant attack by converting a tail of a plastic ravener and attaching some genestealer rending claws and green stuffing an ‘opening’. I think Giger would be proud of this one. The victim is made from a Guardsman and a zombie with a greenstuff adrenal gland attached to his face. A genestealer’s implant attack tongue was used for the baby ripper bursting from his chest. I sold this model on eBay a couple of years ago. I might make another, but make the body more dynamic.

Maybe he'll get a dataslate entry of some kind the way most of the stuff that was removed has?
yeah, losing all of those specific guys in the new codex was a real shame. at least we got the pods back…
Very cool, you really took the story to heart and brought it to life. I agree with Daniel, friendly games could still get by with using his old rules.
That implant attack is very disturbing and I would love to see you make a new version. I'm sure between freinds you could just grab the old rules and play him in a game or two for fun.
