Good evening. I wanted to share a few pics of a little project I’m working on. Nagash. But with my paint job I’m working of extra little tricks. First up, Lot’s of OSL. I figured that if Nagash is surrounded by spirits and eldritch power then there will be very little natural lighting. So the model is about 90% with blue/green sourced lighting instead.
Something I am working with quite a lot lately. Using patterning and swirls s a means to add a bi of interest to the highlights. I find it helps to break up what would otherwise be a large area with a blend and sharp highlight.
Here I have used a similar technique to add detail to the shadows My my thoughts are that the whole of Nagash’s robes and the spirits should be a swirling mass of constantly moving forms.
Well. That’s the plan anyway. More to come another day.

Greenish light from the phantoms is excellent, looks very good. I am curious to see the finished piece, good luck with your next job:)
Thanks folks. Glad you like it. 🙂
I wish I had that kind of talent.
Those textural highlights look really sweet, and aren't something you see every day. Yes, they'll take a long time… But if there's any model that deserves the attention, it's Nagash.
