Now here’s a decidedly pretty one I painted for a friend – the resin Fortress by Kallistra!

It’s sold as being suited for 15mm as well as for 10mm sized figures. At first I thought it would be much too big for 10mm figures, but when I set it up along with my 10mm Thirty Years Wars collection it actually fits really well.

You know what this means: It’s suited for Warmaster! Warmaster in itself is pretty darned cool. Just imagine having a proper fortress for it and all.

The wall sections themselves are well cast. The material is resin with something slightly grainier mixed in, which makes it a bit easier to cut if you see the need.

Good stuff. If I was to buy a 10mm (or 15mm) castle, This one would be my set of choice. You buy all the sections separately off Kalistra’s website. I did 13 sections here, and it seems like a few more (something like 15 to 17) would be required for a full sized nice castle, but this way it works really well too. It’s a nice little thing that you can set up the towers by themselves as watchtowers and such.

Even just having some wall sections at some corner of the table as a city wall adds a lot to the whole medieval feel. I’m not sure what it is, but castles are just instantly appealing to me. Much more than I expected really. But look at those pictures – it does have something heart-warming to it I think. 🙂 Needless to say that I played a lot with Playmobil and lego castles when I was a kid.

As you can see, the size works out well for 10mm figures. These six fellas are mounted on a 3x2mm base, approximately 1.18 x 0.78 inches.

Hope you like it. 🙂
