Hi all! Sooo, I had an Imperial Knight leftover from the Renegade box set, and thought, why not painting him in the livery of the Legio Custodes. I used some decals from Forge World. Saves some time and I think they look great. I’m sure one day I’ll finish this guy :)))).

Splendid work!
Might i also quiz you on how you did the dark metal? Would look great on my warhound!
Hi thx! The dark metal was done by drybrushing Leadbelcher washed with Agrax Earthshade, then drybrushed with a littlebit Runefang Steel??
That's simply amazing! And you need to finish him NOW and not 'one day'! LOL!
Would you mind sharing which colours you used for the gold and copper? Including the washes.
Airbrushed?
The bright and dark gold/copper looks really great. I would also like to know how you did that 🙂
Thx guys! So first: I don't use airbrush. For all the gold I used Retributor Gold washed with Reikland Fleshshade. Then I used the drybrush technique to restore Retributor Gold, then using Liberator Gold and a little bit Ironbreaker. For the deep shadows I applied Druchii Violet. Now the difference in gold / "copper" depends on the amount of Liberator Gold and Ironbreaker I applied on the different areas of the armor plates. So actually I used no other colors for this effect.
