Check out my Wolf Guard Terminator squad from July 2004! These models are the plastic terminator models from the 2nd edition Space Hulk game from the 1990s. They’re heavy converted with greenstuff furs and lots of bitz from the first Space Wolf bitz sprue. Hobbyists today don’t know how lucky they are with the wealth of bitz they get on modern kits.
Fast forward 13 years and we have my latest Space Wolf Terminator Squad. They still share a lot of painting cues with the old squad Iike the bright yellow shoulder pads and the blue power weapons. I think I prefer the new squad even though they don’t have the character of the old converted squad.
Which ones do you prefer?

If you still have them it would be great to see them side by side. the Older plastic termies didn't have the best poses so to get them so characterful do did an amazing job.
Long gone my friend. Sold them like I do with most of my armies. I wonder where they are now?
There's not really any comparison for me – the new ones really are beautifully done, and look great. Whilst I think they're better all 'round, there is something about the older models. Not sure if it's nostalgia or character, or maybe a combination of both.
Has to be the old school ones im afraid, if nothing else because i have soft spot the original plastic termies from spacehulk 2nd. Never mind the wealth of bits we have today on the sprue, the fact everything is plastic these days makes doing anything so much easier 🙂
