Hi all, this is a quick showcase post for my Chief Librarian Tigurius, who was featured in White Dwarf a couple of months ago. In my quest to bring my Ultramarines collection up to scratch, I just upgraded him to a 32mm base with base adapters from ttadapters.com. I’m still quite happy with the paint job, so I didn’t need to change anything else. This model has a special place in my heart, as I rarely do elaborate freehands, as it is so time-consuming and I’m a slow painter already. Enjoy more angles after the jump.

I purchased the same unit from games workshop, but it looks like you upgraded to a 40mm base?
I feel like the sloted 25mm is to small for such a "powerful" unit, he's a freaking hq!!
It's a 32mm base, they changed the base size for power armoured Marines from 25mm to 32mm a while ago.
Wow I've never seen the back of that mini. That is a bizarre backpack. Is he one piece?
Nice paint job as usual. What is the base color?
Three pieces really stand out as amazing – the emotion on the face, the great color contrast on the staff, and the skill of painting on the banner.
Very impressed.
