Hello, Aurélie is back with another model from Dark Imperium: a Plague Marine on a custom built display. Check out more angles after the jump.
I imagined the Plague Marine striding over a battlefield which has seen lots of combat. I put a couple of bleached out skulls at the bottom, who must be leftovers from prior battles.
Some might criticise the overcrowded base, too many details distracting from the model. Before I start a display piece, I always ask myself which atmosphere I want to create. Neutral, morbid, friendly, warm, cold, heroic… I wondered what could capture the atmosphere of war, and the first thing that came to my mind was chaos. A fitting theme for a Chaos Space Marine, don’t you think?
To tie the model with the base I used similar shades of green for the Nurglings and rubble. Not too shabby, isn’t it?
