Hi everyone! Time to tally up my #Taleoftuesdays turn out.

What a fun project! This has really been a metaphorical “let your hair down” type project to me. The thing that draws me to the various Games Workshop universes is their unique grimdark IP. I have always tried to honour the essence and lore of whatever game system I am painting. After many years of  “why so serious” painting, it has been fun to paint something a bit more whimsical and light-hearted…as much as the undead can be those things. (Can’t leave my comfort zone too much now can I?)

Experimenting with contrast on the fly has been great, sharing the results – good and bad is not something I would have ever done before! I would really recommend mixing contrast paints as a fun experiment to anyone, the way they react with each other can be pleasantly surprising. You can see my Zombies above -progression from left to right. I finally feel like I am getting more control over the contrast and getting the effects I want.

I have completed my 11 pitch players, however, I would highly recommend never ever playing with this line-up. As always I have put painting the miniatures I like first over any coherent gaming plan. Even though my Tale of Tuesday… tale is now over, I am sure this team will grow to be something playable and feared. Another mummy and more Ghouls and Wights for certain.

That’s it from me folks, make sure you come back for the next few weeks to see how Arcane and our readers have got on.

Garfy and Stahly have already finished, so be sure to check out their teams.

You can join us on the pitch by sharing your work on social media platforms (twitter, Instagram or facebook) using the hashtags:

#taleoftuesdays #taleofpainters #paintyourgames

Make sure your account is public (in case of facebook, set your #taleoftuesdays posts to public).

We want to engage with all our fellow coaches, so we’ll have an eye on these hashtags and stop by for comments and criticism. Every now and then we also feature your finished players here on Tale of Painters.

From all of your teams that were painted during Tale of Tuesdays, we pick our favourite team to win a Wayland Games or Element Games voucher to the amount of a plastic Blood Bowl team box so you can start painting another team right away.

We hope to see a lot of cool Blood Bowl teams painted! Until next Tuesday…
