Showcase: Skaven Screaming Bell
Some better pictures of my painted Screaming Bell. A really challenging model. It is so complex and full of detail and different textures. Also it is so tall I had to rearrange the shelves in my display cabinet. I’m rather happy I’m done with it,...
Ultramarines Assault Terminators Painting VI
Back at painting my Ultramarines Terminators. I started basecoating and shading them. On a sidenote, today was the launch of the Citadel Finecast range. There are shocking pictures of them on the web, like here or there (page is in German, but the pictures speak...
The Monthly White Dwarf Review: June 2011
The Good Stuff: Designer Notes for the new Dark Eldar Models with Jes and Phil (always good to read something from Jes); solid tactic articles for Tomb Kings and Grey Knights; insights about the new Finecast range, showcases of players’ armies. What’s In There For...
Skaven Screaming Bell Finished!
I finally managed to finish the Screaming Bell. Phew! That was a really challenging model due to its sheer size and the wealth of details. Sorry for the shitty picture! I’ll take better ones once I get around varnishing it.

Skaven Screaming Bell Painting VIII
I finished the robes of the Greyseer and started painting the skin.

The end is nigh… At the moment I put the last finishing touches to the brazier on the front platform. Even though I said before that I didn’t want to use the brazier but add some books and scrolls I wasn’t really happy with what...
Skaven Screaming Bell Painting VI
I’m back at home and the Rat Ogre is almost finished, I just need to highlight the metal chains and correct some flaws. Sorry for the bad picture.
Skaven Screaming Bell Painting V
I’ve finished the bell’s clapper and the platform of the Rat Ogre. I also started painting the skin of the Ogre.
Skaven Screaming Bell Painting IV
I’m at my parents at the moment but I took my paints with me and finished the bell. I used a pretty dark metallic base colour so the Grey Seer with it’s bright fur will hopefully stand out more.
