I assembled a pack of 22 Giant Rats and 3 Packmasters on Sunday. Beeing rather small one piece models, preparing them went pretty fast. For the packmasters I used suitable looking bodies from the Clanrat sprue. I took the whip arms from the Rat Ogre sprue and cut them at the wrist to glue them on Clanrat arms. This way the packmasters look much more in line with the new Skaven models.
I also assembled the Warlord from Island of Blood. I removed the brazier from the banner top because I think it distorts the shape of the model. I also exchanged the halberd for the cut off heads from the Stormvermin sprue. Together with the big axe in the other hand I think it looks really mean.

Just been browsing through your Skaven pictures and they all share excellent paintjobs – I am very impressed :-). Could you perhaps share a larger picture of the warlord – I just found my ancient one and would love to see the most current GW exsample.
Anyways, thanks for blogging and if you are ever in need of some skaven to paint just drop by my place :-).
